This week we will focus on the writing examination (Paper 3) and how to structure an argumentative, discursive or persuasive essay. You will build on the argument skills developed in Week 1. You will further explore the use of persuasive language in Week 5, where the focus is on advertising. You will also use some of the persuasive techniques that you have developed, in Week 15 when you write a CV and a covering letter for a CV and in Week 24, where you will learn how to use persuasive language devices in writing a review. The skills taught in this week will help you to prepare for SBA Task 2 (a long creative essay i.e. narrative, descriptive, reflective, argumentative or discursive essay).
