In this week’s lesson, learners will receive orientation on what the grade 11 Tourism Curriculum for 2022 will offer. The format of formal assessment tasks as well as the compulsory Practical Assessment Task (PAT)will be explained. The concepts which have been studied in grade 10 will be useful this year. The content map for the year will be outlined in this lesson. The following topics will be covered : Tourism Sectors, Map Work and Tour Planning, Sustainable and Responsible Tourism, Domestic, Regional and International Tourism, Culture and Heritage Tourism, Foreign Exchange, Communication and Customer Care as well as Marketing.
