In this section, global events of International significance will be the focus area. The concept of Global event will be discussed. Examples of global events such as; Sporting events, or other events such as beauty pageant or summits will be looked at. The positive and negative impact of global events on international tourism will be discussed. The impact of hosting a global event on – domestic tourism in the host country and on the economy of the host country will be explained. Lastly the advantages and disadvantages for the host country will be explained within a tourism context.
