This week we will be focusing on the idea of the kinetic molecular theory and how this can be used to explain the phases of matter. Through the application of the kinetic molecular theory we will be explaining on a molecular level what is happening in the microscopic levels of the phases as well as the transitions between them. Emphasis will be placed on definitions this week and the use of these to explain what is happening in various scenarios.
