This week we will focus on the writing examination (Paper 3) and how to structure a narrative, descriptive or reflective essay, as well as how to use detailed descriptive language and imagery. These are also useful skills in writing most of the transactional writing formats, including newspaper and magazine articles (Week 6), letters (Week 7) and reviews (Week 24). You will further develop your writing skills in Week 19, where you will learn how to write prose form dialogue, Week 21, where you will learn how to use different sentence structures effectively and Week 25, where you will focus on interpreting Section A (Writing paper) questions so as to achieve excellent marks. The skills taught in this week will help you to prepare for SBA Task 2 (a long creative essay i.e. narrative, descriptive, reflective, argumentative or discursive essay).
