In this section tour plans and route planning will be the focus of study. The concepts of tour plans and route planning will be given. The different types of tour plans will be discussed which include the following: Packaged tour, Escorted packaged tour, Group packaged tour, Independent packaged tour and Scheduled tour. An explanation will be given on how to develop tour plans to suit specific tourists’ profiles, taking into consideration factors like available budget and time. Types of tourists will be given. The difference between linear route planning and circular route planning will be outlined.
